The Moment When Our Destiny is Forged…Part I

Be Still and Know...

Life happens. Even when we choose to Create our life and create our reality, things still happen.

I’ve spoke to tens of thousands of people about the principles of happiness, prosperity, health and wealth.

I am a true believer of the power of agency that each of us has.

But what about when drastic things happen?

A loved one passes away.

We lose a job and then another and go for months and even years without sustained income.

We do everything right and our spouse leaves us.

A child is diagnosed with a rare disease and suffers physical pain.

We hit a point in our life where we begin to challenge everything we’ve been taught.

Discouragement begins to set in and overtake us.

Come on…we’ve all been there.  We set goals, develop powerful habits and the rhythm of life is beautiful and then tragedy strikes, tribulation hits and interruption jolts the melodies and harmonies of a life we believed we deserve.

It is in this moment literally that life changes because it is in these very moments that our literal eternal destiny will be forged. We have choices to make.

We either stay close to the Lord, to the Principles, to the experiences we know we’ve had OR we let go of what we KNOW truly matters and search in ‘strange roads’ for something we think will save us.

So many people give up and quit. I have felt like quitting so many times…yet I know the consequence of quitting is NOT what I want.

So many people do not realize that the true secret of being happy is to understand that trial, tribulation, hardship and adversity are PART OF LIFE!

The knowledge that hardship is PART of life can arm us with a determination to choose to allow hardship to mold us, guide us, strengthen us and help us to become our very best!

It’s not easy.

Wait…

It’s NOT EASY!!!!

There are so many people who make it look easy.

When going through hell…KEEP GOING!

When it gets hard, like depressingly hard and deep down discouraging and you want to start to complain and give up and murmur and blame others and drop your guard…

“BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.”

Be still-not walk around complaining. Not run from your problems. Not work out your frustration. BE-meaning your state of being is to be one with God. Be Still means to STOP and exercise FAITH that the God of this world and worlds without numbers knows who YOU are.

Be still is hard to do because we live in an era where everyone has video games, phones, cameras, internet and loads and loads of information that can keep us ever busy and occupied to the point where time slips right past us.

BE STILL.

Be Still and KNOW-There is a huge difference between knowing and believing. I used the word ‘believe’ so much because we are taught to believe in something before we know it is true. Faith in something requires belief.

We are commanded to KNOW-not merely believe, no just deeply believe but really KNOW.

How do you come to know God is there and that He is?

By reading His words, following His leaders and becoming like Him. That’s how you do it. “How knoweth a man the Master whom he has not served and who is a stranger unto Him and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart.”

We had no money to pay bills so I drove to Vegas and sold my very expensive piece of art to this gentleman. Keep going!

Be still and know that He is God.

CAN YOU DO THIS? CAN YOU BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD AND THAT HE IS OVER ALL?

THE TRUTH ABOUT SETEMA…

If I were to tell you that life is amazing for me and that it is so easy and wealthy and prosperous…I’d only be telling you half the truth.

The other half of the story is that I pray hard, work hard, struggle through some things and KNOW that it will pay off and bring major dividends. It is my paradigm, my perception of challenges that allows me to get through this.

Seriously, my wife is my biggest supporter and counselor. I don’t know how but I married the most amazing woman. I look forward to going to be because we talk, share our feelings, open up and listen to each other. I help her and I think she helps me way more than I help her.

When you face trial and tragedy, which some of you are facing right now, don’t give up. Don’t quit. Don’t give in. Keep moving forward. Keep believing and KNOW that He is God and that He knows you and He loves you.

When we look back at the most difficult times of our lives and more challenging we will realize they were the times that God carried us and that we grew the most spiritual muscles and commitment muscles and action muscles.

Patience, perseverance and vision will help us through it.

When the HEAT of adversity comes, I will use it to forge my future. What will you do?

But instead of wishing for no trials, simply ask for more strength and keep going.

We are the writers of our lives, the captains of our own ship and in the moment when challenge, difficulty and adversity strike, we begin to forge a destiny that we can proud of, or we begin to throw our destiny away.

What will you choose?

I choose to forge a destiny of Creating Value and Legacy for countless people! I choose to forge a destiny that I can be proud of  and my children and their children. I choose to allow God to mold me.

To be continued…

You have been an inspiration in my life. I have face many challenging moments and sometimes I want to just crawl in a hole and never come out. Since attending and listening to your seminars I feel refresh and my goals are becoming clear. Like you said, clarity is what needs to happen. Ever since then, I have never been more clear with what I want in my life. I am moving forward and working on sharing what I have with many of my peers who are in the same business as my self. Many of these people have no idea of what they are missings. Many of them don’t know what they want and are not willing to sacrifice to learn what they need to do to get there. What are my intentions? To help those who want to help themselves. Also Setema, your phrase, I already know that” is very dangerous and I have seen and heard it come out of peoples own mouths. Wow! it is so true about how pig headed people can be. They don’t know their intentions and will continue to fail. Thanks for all you do to help us be clear on what we want in our lives.

Great message Tema! Everything that you’ve shared with us over and over again. It’s true that growth happens within the outcome of adversity. And depending how you handled the situation, is how much growth learned.

    Thanks for sharing it again!
