When You Feel Stuck and Beat Up From Life And Can’t Find the Answer…

No Matter How Difficult the Storm...the Sun Will Eventually Come Out...So Keep Moving Forward and Keep the Faith...
I know this post and training will be one of the most powerful and life-altering for many. I finished up a launch called Project: Get Your Life Back and the applications for the scholarship program were eye-opening.
So many people are looking for answers.
“How do I become financially wealthy in these tough economical times?”
“How do I find balance in my life?”
“How do I manage kids, marriage, health, wealth, education, bills all at the same time?”
“Is there really an answer to help me with my problems?”
“With all the so called ‘GURUS’ out there who can I really trust to help me?
“My marriage is stale and boring…what do I do?”
These are legitimate questions from dozens and dozens of emails I have received through the last several months.
Well…what are the answers?
Let me share a principle and a question that helped me through my most difficult times.
Keep Moving Forward
I’ve attended all types of seminars, events and symposiums.
I graduated from BYU in 2001.
I’ve read dozens if not hundreds and hundreds of books in the past five years.
I pray.
I fast.
I meditate.
I give and serve.
I have affirmations coupled with discipline.
I attend church regularly.
I exercise.
I spend time with my wife and sons.
I coach a 5th grade football team to give back to the community.
I speak often for young teams and elementary schools.
I do 1 and 2 day workshops and life-changing seminars.
I share all these things with you not to brag but to show you that there was a time in my life where I believe I was doing everything right and more…and life was incredibly difficult, challenging and freakin hard and no matter what I did…Life Still SUCKED!
There will be times in our lives here on earth where no matter what we do, no matter how much we’ve learned and no matter the disciplines we’ve implemented in our lives the ONLY answer is to KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
This is when life just seems to suck no matter how much we try to become better.
This is the principle I finally learned during a 12 month span where no matter what I did, no matter how oft I prayed, read, studied, listened and served… the burdenS on my shoulders were still so heavy.
I began to give up hope.
I began to wonder where my God was.
This principle of “KEEP MOVING FORWARD” is not easy to live.
Why?
Because most people want answers now. We live in the most advanced technological time ever and in a time where we have answers to any question with the click of a button on Google.
This principle goes against what most gurus preach.
Some will tell you to do this, or do that, read this, read that, attend this event, attend that event, buy this and buy that and your problems will be solved. That holds so much truth but what do you do when you do ALL of those things and you still feel the burden or weight of adversity?
The truth is…sometimes we just need to learn something about ourselves that our Maker already knows but we need to learn it.
The sooner you learn the lesson the sooner you move onward and upward. Keep this in mind…sometimes the Law of Gestation plays a role where it might take a year and no matter what “self-help” technique or strategy you use…you still struggle. That’s life. That’s growth. That’s fascinating.
It’s like traveling from Northern California to Southern California. In order to get from Northern Cal to Southern Cal, you gotta keep moving forward. You gotta take the trip. In Southern Cal lies the dreams, the payoff, the next stop. If you stop and never get going again…you never get there. Life is like this analogy in so many ways.
So Keep Moving Forward.
Keep Going. Keep praying. Keep studying. Keep learning. Keep growing.
If you must stop and rest, stop and rest.Covey calls it Sharpen the Saw and we must have the Sharpening Days and moments where we must rest and reflect and ponder.
After the rest…stand up and keep going.
You will lose if you give up and quit.
You will lose if you give up faith, hope and belief.
We were sent here to grow, learn, become and succeed.
KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
If your life is incredibly hard right now put one foot in front of the other and take baby steps.
Remember this..if you’ve done everything else (affirmations, meditations, mentors, books, prayer, fasting etc.) and your burden is still heavy…Keep Moving Forward.
Law of Gestation simply states there is a time period needed to make it through the growth, progression and learning take place.
A human baby usually takes 9 months.
An acorn takes years to become a tall tree.
Fruits and Veges take anywhere from months to 3 years.
Our lives are no different.
If you are struggling right now and have done everything you know and everything your mentors teach…
If your life is at a stand still, stale, boring, life-less and you’ve read the Think and Grow Rich type books and listened to everything from Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Setema Gali
and more…
If you are at the end of your rope and you’ve diagnosed that everything is in order in your life but can’t seem to find peace…
Keep Moving Forward.
I promise you the sun will come out.
I promise you there are others who have traveled this lonely road and have come out of it.
Finally, CAN I STAY TRUE TO THE PROCESS?
I learned this from Tiffany Walke Peterson who is an amazing coach and close friend of mine.
This question will help you to move forward when everything seems a muck.
The process she refers to is the true and eternal process of growth, learning, becoming and harvest. The Bible calls it the Law of the Harvest.
That which ye sow is what you will reap OR whatever you reap is what you have sown.
Too often we have very little patience in the natural process of success and give up too early.
Can you stay true to the process?
Can you be faithful enough to endure the times of difficulty or will you give up early and blame others or blame the economy and circumstances of your life?
If you have done everything possible that you know to find joy, happiness, success and wealth and you’re still not quite where you want to be Can you stay true to the process while you exercise enough belief and faith to move forward and continue to take the right action?
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Ps. 30:5.)
That night could be a month, 12 months or even years that seem without end but Keep Moving Forward and have faith that good things are coming.
If this has helped you or sparked an AHA moment, will you share this forward and leave a comment for me? ![]()

Setema, as usual, this is EXACTLY what I needed to hear today. I really appreciate this perspective & insight because it’s so discouraging to think there must just be something horribly wrong with you since you’re continuing to “attract” undesirable experiences & outcomes in your life with all the good work you’ve put into play. I’m going to adopt the “keep moving forward” and “can i be true to the process?” mantras. Thank you so much, Setema!!!

I have to say that this message has given me the “AHA” moment. I love it, at this time life does seem like it has gotten harder for me and my family. Even to the point of me getting sick. I had to hear from my husband that things will get better, I shouldnt let things aggravate me. Thank you for your message Tema, it will help me to stay positive and KEEP MOVING FORWARD!

@Quinn…you are also very welcome. As far as “attracting” everything to us…I don’t believe that is the case. If a car hits us does that mean we “attracted” it to us. Not necessarily because people have agency to choose for themselves and that sometimes affects us. I believe we simply use adversity and forge our destiny by our choices when things get rough. Have you read a talk by Hugh Nibley called Abrahamic Trials? Google it and read it. Very very very powerful.
