Setema Gali visits (UVU) Utah Valley University

“Never let schooling get in the way of your education” said Mark Twain.
My take on that is…I never let school or education get in the way of my learning.
When I attended BYU right out of high school I wasn’t ready to learn. OK, I was ready to learn about 2 things…females and football. ![]()
I probably read a total of 5 books during my 5 college years and I am not proud of that…however…
All of that has changed now. I am a book eating machine. I devour books and courses. I listen and learn everywhere I go. My iPod is chuck full of powerful works, books, General Conference and uplifting and inspiring music.
When I had the opportunity to speak to students and faculty at UVU I jumped head first.
My message to them was simple.
What would have affected me back in my college days? Here is what I shared with them.
Create and expand your PURPOSE. When you have purpose, you have direction and a reason to push forward especially when things get very difficult and they will get difficult.Do things with PASSION and live with greater PASSION. The most successful people have a passion that burns within them and that drives and pushes them.
Passion and Purpose are closely related.
Empower yourself with PATIENCE and the ability to see things through. The fool will have the “I gotta have it now” syndrome. The smart and intelligent person arms him/herself with patience and knows that you cannot cheat the natural laws of sowing and reaping and that some things take time. There is no way around it.
Adjust and correct the PARADIGM, PERSPECTIVE and PROGRAMMING that we have.
We all have a paradigm that is programmed into us and our perspective of the world is what drives EVERYTHING we do. Scarcity or Abundance? Impossibility or Possibility? Not enough or more than enough? Limits or Limitless
Become a CONTRIBUTOR each and everyday and not just a TAKER.
Exit VICTIMHOOD and remember that CHOICE is what this life is all about and that we always have choice.
Believe in yourself because your IDENTITY is way more powerful than your desires, dreams, will and wishes. Your identity is the belief that you have about yourself. Our beliefs about ourselves are the most powerful beliefs because they move us to action towards accomplishing our dreams or they prevent us from doing anything at all.
Everything we want is just outside of our comfort zone and within reach if we will stretch, reach and persist.
For those who attended here is your link to purchase One Night Transformation at the student discount (80% off the original price…I know what it’s like to be a student so I gave them a massive discount) which comes down Friday Nov 19.
Act now and change your life for the better.
Yours in Mastery,
Setema Gali
P.S. Will you share this forward with your friends?
