While recently attending the Funnel Hacking Live event, I saw a trend occur that which taught me a valuable lesson about comparisons.

But first, you need to know what kind of event this was: it was a conference which teaches marketers how to use ClickFunnels to get their produces and services out to the public, especially online.

So, I kept noticing a continual trend amongst the marketers that they were pretending to be something they were not (which was usually thinking they were better than they actually were) or comparing themselves to others.

What was the reality that I learned from seeing this?

Most human beings are insecure.

That’s just how life works; I observe insecurities all around me, whether it’s taking my boys to school or attending a business event.

Why? Because we tend to compare our weaknesses to someone else’s strengths.

STOP IT.

We all have gifts and talents unique to ourself, so the only person we should be comparing ourselves to is ME. Compare yourself to you.

You are where you are and that’s where you need to be.

Stop shaming yourself and feeling embarrassed when you accomplish something.

Guilt, shame and playing small contracts us across the board, because you’ll never be good enough.

It’s unattainable to compare yourself to others because you’re not them. You’re YOU, and that’s an incredible person to be compared to.

Bless those for pursuing their own individual growth in comparison to themselves, rather than others. This especially applies to you.

You are GOOD ENOUGH.

The moment you start to love yourself, you will honor everyone else (including yourself) because you’re honoring the gift that is inside of you, without going to guilt and contraction.

You are UNIQUE.

Ask yourself:

* Who have I been comparing myself to?

* What insecurities have been holding me back from prosperity?

* What can I do today to love myself more so that I can see the unique gifts that I bring to the table?

Take the positives and strengths that surround you so you can apply it into your life, but don’t feel like you need to be someone else in order to achieve that.
