As I coach a whole slew of people from all over the world, every gender and socio-economic background, there’s this common theme that I continue to see:

The time that we spend on something shows the value that we place on it.

What we say we value is irrelevant. It’s WHERE we spend our time that reveals what we want.

The way I prioritize and plan out my day exhibits what I value based off of where I put my time.

The same goes for you.

We all need to: Allot, Slot, Protect.

What does this mean?

We need to ALLOT time towards something by writing it down and give yourself the time required for what your outcomes and strategies are, including drive/prep time.

Then we SLOT the time into a window within the day, the more consistent we are by establishing a routine (e.g. as soon as I wake up I have a certain ritual that I do to start my day) the more

Last, we PROTECT the time that we’ve decided to put energy into so that we are not only consistent but thorough because we see the commitments through rather than filling it in with something that we don’t truly value.

Why do we do this? Distractions will get in our way from fulfilling the increasing results that we want to do.

This form of time management reveals what you value and what you truly want to create, so that at the end of your life, you can look back and see that you live a life of purpose.

Ask yourself:

* What do I value the most in my life?

* Where can I allot, slot and protect those things that matter the most?

* What can I do today to show in action what I say I value?

Be real in your foundational way of thinking by looking at what matters the most to you. You’ve got to allot, slot and protect across your whole body, being, balance and business.
