Why You Better Prepare for Hell and Opposition When Committing to Your Goals
Posted on11. Oct, 2011 by Setema Gali.

Opposition will sometimes feel like this.
All successful people know without a doubt that GOAL SETTING is crucial for a fulfilling life. “The ability to set and achieve goals is the greatest skill you can develop” said Brian Tracy.
But what most beginning goal-setters don’t realize is that when you set a goal and commit to it…the opposition will raise hell.
And it’s not just that you’ll face opposition. Oh yes, you will face tremendous opposition. But more than facing it, the opposition will rear its ugly head to destroy you.
It plays no favorites. It doesn’t care if you’re black, white, brown or yellow.
It doesn’t care if you were born in the ghetto, the islands or in the richest hospitals.
OPPOSITION DOESN’T CARE if you’ve set your goal, committed to it, created a plan of action and it certainly doesn’t care if you have a Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy or Spiritual Minister in your corner. Opposition could care less if God ordained you to do a great work.
It just doesn’t care. It has a job to do and like a Jack Bauer who is relentless in doing his job for good, Opposition is relentless in stopping you from becoming your greatest self.
What you must understand about going after the life you want is this…
When you set a goal and commit to it…be prepared for hell. It’s one of the unwritten rules about creating the life you truly want and love.
Opposition will lull you to sleep and make the smallest advances against you as if it didn’t exist. It will carefully guide you down paths at times and then poison you in degrees when you’re unaware…and even when you are aware.
It will also put it’s shot gun in your face. One moment a water-gun and then the next a shot gun, 9 Millimeter or Smith and Wesson. Opposition will reason with you like the world’s greatest lawyer and then stab you in the back once you’ve relaxed for a mere second. Opposition is the greatest lawyer. It knows no rules. It will lie, cheat, steal and cry it’s way to your destruction. [...]

Honestly…How Bad Do You Want It?
Posted on27. Sep, 2011 by Setema Gali.
On a scale of 1-10…1 being I don’t want it at all and I don’t care about it…and 10 being I’ll do whatever it takes to get it…where do you sit on this scale when it comes to living your greatest version of your life…when it comes to your goals, your dreams, your passions?
When it comes to your body, your health, your looks, your weight…where are you on that scale?
Regarding money, financial wealth, abundance of resources…where are you on that scale?
For your deepest desires and dreams…for that flat screen TV…for that beautiful Mercedes Benz…for that Rambler Ranch home in the country…for that vacation to Disneyland with the kids…for everything you’ve ever wanted in your life..your legacy?
WHERE ARE YOU ON THE SCALE? [...]

An Uncanny Ability to Say NO is The Answer
Posted on22. Dec, 2010 by Setema Gali.
I am all about goals, striving for benchmarks, working towards a purpose and becoming the best we can be. Without goals we usually become a lesser version of who we could really be. But what happens when we set goals and all of a sudden don’t make it? How can we be certain to hit our goals and experience joy along the way?
Here’s one tip that will absolutely allow you more of what you really want and less of what you don’t want.
One of the fastest ways to get what you want…
One of the quickest or quicker ways to accomplish your goals…
One of the most certain ways to wealth, to a healthier body, to a stronger income producing asset is…

Why Goals Are Crucial For Real Happiness and Success

Lavell Edwards Stadium ... as I remember seeing it as an 8th Grader. What are your goals, dreams, passions and visions?
The year is 1989. I’m riding my bike from football practice. I’m a skinny 8th grader. I’m riding my bike past Lavell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Ut.
It is an ESPN Thursday night game for BYU. I don’t remember who they played but I remember riding past the big buses on Canyon Road that sits parallel to the stadium and these huge mammoths were stepping off the buses. These guys were big, lean, muscular and scary looking.
Here I was a little tiny 6 foot 1 inch 150 lbs football kid watching these “All-Stars” prepare to play my beloved Cougars of BYU. I dreamed that one day I would be playing for BYU. It was my desire. It was my dream. It was a GOAL.
I wasn’t very good at football. I wasn’t fast. I wasn’t strong. I was just athletic … kind of.
I was a late bloomer. I put on 30 lbs of muscle between my sophomore year and junior year of high school.
I never missed working out. I couldn’t bench very much either. So I had to work hard to keep up.
I ate like a horse (and still couldn’t gain much weight).
I was so focused on getting a scholarship. It was my goal.
I have a small red journal that has my goals from my early high school days. In the beginning of the journal it says “Get a scholarship to BYU for football.” [...]

Books, Swords, War…Life-Changing!
Posted on14. Jan, 2010 by Setema Gali.
A friend of mine asked “What books have changed your life?”
So here it is…
I understand clearly her question in context.
The truth is…books, things, jobs, situations, catastrophe, war…they don’t change our lives…
WE CHANGE OUR LIVES by the action we take, by the knowledge we internalize, by the we way choose to react to everything that happens to us.
“It’s not what happens to us that matters…it’s what happens within us that makes the difference.”
I’ve known many people who have suffered great loss and come out of it a better and stronger person for it. [...]
