What I learned from an NFL All-Pro during training camp with the Pats.

It was the fall of 2002. We were in training camp. Six weeks of two-a-day practices, grueling meetings and the hot and humid weather of New England had me near the end of my rope.

No matter how good of shape you are in running, playing ball and fighting against 70 other guys for a job can wear you out.

It was on this day that I would learn a lesson that I would never forget and I share this with you because it changed my life and I know it will change your life.We had a break for lunch and I ran some errands and stopped at McDonalds to grab a bite to eat.

Upon returning to camp I casually said out loud “I stopped by McDonalds for a burger and fries.”

The place went silent.

Feeling Like A Failure….

My frustrated friend went back to the job.

I have a good friend who quit his job earlier this year. He walked away from a 6 figure income.  He entered the world of Entrepreneurs. After 6 months of living life in the Entrepreneurial world he went back to his job because he was broke, a bit unsure and plenty confused.

From the outside looking in most would observe that he is a quitter and doesn’t have what it takes to succeed.

From my perspective he is far from a quitter. Most people would NEVER quit their job to try something new. Most people are scared to death of the unknown or unfamiliar territory. My friend took a RISK that most never take and that is why most and I mean MOST will live in the obscurity of mediocrity. [...]
