While securing one of my Brothers in Kokoro 45, I learned that one of the men had died shortly after the event was secured (finished).
The short time that I knew Kirk Deligiannis, he always had a smile on his face and was someone that LIVED his life.
I am reminded of the quote from William Wallace in the movie Braveheart that “Every man dies, [but] not every man really lives.”
This tragedy has cased a lot of reflection in my own life, and to look at my own life, in which I’m ready to go if it’s my time to go because I’ve been LIVING my life.
Do I want to leave my family and friends? Hell, no.
But there are 3 things that I’ve learned to ask myself to see if I’m living my life to the fullest:
- Be REALLY clear about what you want in your life
- Play full out, every single day
- Smile and have fun
The purpose of life is eternal expansion.
It’s about living your life to the fullest.
We ALL die.
We are all on the path for death, but it depends on what we do with the life that we are given that determines the legacy that we will leave behind, if any.
We are not meant to dwell in doom and gloom with this knowledge that we’re all going to die, but to life a life with PURPOSE.
Start WINNING your day EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Smile.
Breathe.
There’s no need to be so uptight about life and get stuffy about the inevitability of death.
Ask yourself:
* Am I clear about what I want from my life?
* If life was like a game, am I a winning player?
* How can I enjoy my life more and have fun?
This podcast episode has been dedicated to Kirk Deligiannis, a man that lived his life as a winning player and to the fullest.
